Holotype: MHNLS 12952.

Type locality: “ Tepuy Jaua, Estado Bolívar, Venezuela (04°49’55”N, 64°25’59”W), 1,600 m snm.”

Distribution: Region 5. Endemic to Jaua, a tepui in Bolívar State.
