Drymoluber dichrous (Peters, 1863)

(Figs. 12.1 and 24.4)

It was recorded only in states of CearĂ¡ and Bahia, around 300 m elevation. It also occurs in Atlantic and Amazon Forests (Costa 2010). In CearĂ¡, it occurs only in highland areas where it can be found in relictual moist forests (Loebmann & Haddad 2010). In Bahia state it occurs in contact areas with the Atlantic Forest, and seems to be rare as its congener (Freitas & Silva 2007). It has terrestrial habits, is diurnal, and feeds on vertebrates (Costa 2010).
