Recorded only for the state of Alagoas, in municipality of Quebrangulo, 366 m elevation. This area is located in the Caatinga-Atlantic Forest contact. According to Passos et al. (2010), it was found in remnants of submontane forest in Atlantic Forest. It has cryptozoic and fossorial habits, is diurnal and nocturnal, and feeds mostly on earthworms (Passos et al. 2010).
