Horistonotus Candèze, 1860 .
This genus was revised by Wells (2000). A specimen collected in Glacier National Park and recorded as “ Horistonotus sp. nr. transfugus LeConte” in Seibert (1993) is Horistonotus curiatus (Say) . A second species, Horistonotus pullatus Horn, was recently collected in 2019 as by-catch in pan traps during pollinator surveys. This reiterates the need to utilize different collection methods to successfully capture an accurate representation of local fauna.
