Current status: junior synonym of Acropyga acutiventris Roger, 1862: 243 . Synonymy: LaPolla 2004a: 31.

Type locality(-ies): “Depok, W. Java, Djungeln, 22.XII. 1912 (Nr. 2344), zahlreiche ww. – Buitenzorg, Java, Botan. Garten (Nr. 2370), zahlreiche ww und mm”.

Material: SYNTYPES, 3 w (CASENT0917296) (Box 39).

Note. The box was flooded with water from melted snow on the roof and some of the labels were partly blurred. Karawajew’s original label with number has been preserved, but the locality label and the label with the name of this variety were added in 1960 by Dlussky.
