Generitype of Leonurus Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 165. 1929).

Current name: Leonurus cardiaca L. ( Lamiaceae).

Note: Krestovskaja (in Bot. Zhurn. 73: 1748. 1988) noted the existence of Herb. Linn. No. 739.5 (LINN). However, this is actually original material for L. tataricus and (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 27: 141. 1990) it was incorrectly indicated as the lectotype of L. cardica. Hedge & Lamond’s choice in any case has priority.
