Current name: Ballota frutescens (L.) J. Woods ( Lamiaceae).

Note: Patzak (in Ann. Naturhist. Mus. Wien 63: 45. 1959) quotes habitat information from Linnaeus’ protologue, stating "D. Sauvages, Holotypus, non vidi". This is not accepted as a valid typification as no specimen or herbarium is indicated, and the information quoted appears to have been drawn solely from the protologue.
