Generitype of Mentzelia Linnaeus.

Current name: Mentzelia aspera L. ( Loasaceae).

Note: Weigend (l.c.) noted that Plumier’s plate was poor, and that designation of an epitype would be desirable should suitable material from Hispaniola become available.
