Status at New Ireland. First recorded for New Ireland by White et al. (2018: 121), White & Ko'ou (2018: 29), based on a specimen collected during recent deep water surveys of the area (NTUM 11494).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Philippines south to northern Australia and Vanuatu. Demersal, 250–475 m depth. Marine.
