Status at New Ireland. First recorded from Kavieng, New Ireland in original description by White et al. (2016: 589), based on the holotype (NTUM 11500).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Only known from the holotype collected northwest of Kavieng, New Ireland, 191–290 m depth. Marine.
