Squalus cf. edmundsi White, Last & Stevens 2007 — Edmunds’ spurdog

Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland and Papua New Guinea by White et al. (2018: 39), White & Ko'ou (2018: 12) as Squalus cf. edmundsi . Based on a specimen (NTUM 11497) collected in 2015 by trawl off Kavieng. Close to but possibly different from S. edmundsi from Western Australia and Indonesia, more specimens required to confirm identity.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Only known from one specimen. Demersal, 340 – 465 m depth. Marine.
