Hexatrygon bickelli Heemstra & Smith 1980 — Sixgill stingray

Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland by White et al. (2018: 223), White & Ko'ou (2018: 52), based on a specimen collected off New Hanover during the BioPapua deepsea cruise in 2010 (not retained).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: South Africa to Hawaii, 362–1120 m depth. Found on soft and rocky bottoms. Marine.
