Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (2 specimens, St. CP 4429-7-8, northeast of New Hanover; 2 specimens, St. CP 4432-1-2, northeast of New Hanover; 2 specimens, St. CP 4447-20-21, north of New Hanover; 2 specimens, St. CP 4448-9-10; 1 specimen, St. CP 4449-14, north of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Madagascar east to Papua New Guinea, south to northern Australia. Bathydemersal, 412–970 m depth. Marine.
