Albula argentea (Forster in Bloch & Schneider 1801) — Longjaw bonefish

Status at New Ireland. First recorded as Albula neoguinaica from Tigak Islands, Kavieng, New Ireland by Wright & Richards (1985: 73). Collected at Kavieng fish market by Barry C. Russell on 21 June 2014.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Society and Marquesas islands, south to New Caledonia. Found in lagoons, 2–90 m depth. Marine.
