Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (2 specimens, St. CP 4429-17-18, northeast of New Hanover; 1 specimen, St. CP 4435-8, north of Kavieng; 1 specimen, St. CP 4436-13, north of Kavieng; 2 specimens, St. CP 4447-12-13, north of New Hanover; 1 specimen, CP4448-17, north of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Circumglobal in tropical seas. Bathypelagic, 0–3182 m depth. Marine.
