Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (2 specimens, St. CP 4428-4-5, northeast of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Circumglobal in tropical and warm temperate seas. Benthopelagic, 165–800 m depth. Marine.
