Onuxodon fowleri (Smith 1955) — Fowler's pearlfish
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11411 (2 specimens, 116–125 mm SL, St. KR 22, Kavieng, Kavieng District, 2°33.468’S 150°47.433’E, 0–11 m depth, 5 June 2014), and NTUM 11416 (1 specimen, 113.5 mm SL, St. KZ 24, northwest of Edmago Island, Kavieng District, 2°36.675’S 150°44.290’E, 10–22 m depth, 27 June 2014) .
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: East Africa east to Hawaiian and Pitcairn islands, north to Taiwan, south to New South Wales (Australia). Benthic, reef-associated, lives in holothurians, 1– 30 m depth. Marine.
