Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4428-13, northeast of New Hanover; 1 specimen, St. CP 4442-7, northwest of Kavieng).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa east to Taiwan and New Guinea, north to southern Japan. Bathydemersal, 700–1300 m depth. Marine.
