Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4429-19, northeast of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Circumglobal in tropical and temperate seas. Bathypelagic, 50–1021 m depth. Marine.
