Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimens photographed by D. Tully among mangroves at Bauddisson Island, Kavieng District, on 10 Nov 2017.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa and Madagascar east to Fiji and Samoa, north to Philippines, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia, 0–1 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water and marine.
