Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimens photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 10 Oct. 2007 and 23 Apr. 2010.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: eastern Indonesia east to Vanuatu, north to Sabah (Malaysia), south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Associated with sea fans, 15–40 m depth. Marine.
