Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11445 (1 specimen, 19.7 mm SL, St. KB 04, northwest point of Nusa Island, Kavieng District, 02°33.949’S 150°46.722’E, 15–17 m depth, 3 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: East Africa east to Pitcairn, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia. Found in seaward coral reefs, 0–20 m depth. Marine.
