Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen observed at Nemto Island, New Hanover, 1–50 m depth, St. T 23, on 7 Nov. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Cocos-Keeling Islands and Indonesia east to Marshall and Tuamotu islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to Queensland (Australia). Found among branches of Pocillopora coral heads, 1–15 m depth. Marine.
