Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland and Papua New Guinea by Fricke (2016c: 68), based on NTUM 11319 (1 specimen, 44.6 mm SL, St. CP 4490-23, off northwest side of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: East Indies (Indonesia?). 120–155 m depth. Marine.
