Status at New Ireland. First recorded from Lihir Group, Namatamai District, New Ireland by Fry et al. (2006: 129).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 5.—General distribution: Singapore east to Samoa, north to Ryukyu and Ogasawara islands, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Bathydemersal, 100–310 m depth. Marine.
