Status at New Ireland. Record from New Ireland based on NTUM 10841 (1 specimen, 58 mm SL, St. CP 4501-9, 4.9 km westnorthwest of Kavieng); reported as Parascolopsis cf. inermis by Hung et al. (2017: 541).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—Known only from New Ireland (Papua New Guinea). 175–197 m depth. Marine.
