Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed by D. Tully among the mangroves at Bauddisson Island, Kavieng District, 10 Nov. 2017.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indo-West Pacific: India east to Philippines and Solomon Islands, south to northern Australia and Vanuatu. Mangrove estuaries, 0–1 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water.
