Parachaetodon ocellatus (Cuvier 1831) —Ocellated coralfish (Fig. 93)

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at Lissenung Island, Kavieng District, 10 m depth, by Dean Tully on 21 Sept. 2012.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Malaysia and Indonesia east to Fiji, north to Ryukyu and Ogasawara islands, south to northern Australia. Solitary or in pairs, in coastal and lagoon reefs with sponges, 5–40 m depth. Marine.
