Chrysiptera unimaculata (Cuvier in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1830) —Onespot damselfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken in Senta Passage, southeast of New Hanover at 5–16 m depth, St. KR 118, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell); a specimen observed at Kulaumis Island, Kavieng District, 1–10 m depth, St. T 17, on 4 Nov. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Red Sea, East Africa, Mozambique Channel, Oman, Madagascar Channel, Madagascar and Mascarenes east to Fiji and Tonga, north to southern Japan, south to Queensland (Australia). Found on shallow reef flats, 0–5 m depth. Marine.
