Pomacentrus reidi Fowler & Bean 1928 —Reid's damselfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen in a video of a specimen taken in Nissel Passage, Kavieng District, at 6–22 m depth, St. KR 4, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell); another taken at Nubilus Island, off eastern New Hanover, at 3–32 m depth, St. KR 88, in 2014.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Eastern Indonesia and Philippines east to Palau and Vanuatu, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Found in seaward reefs and deep lagoons, 12– 70 m depth. Marine.
