Hologymnosus doliatus (Lacepède [ex Commerson] 1801)—Pastel ringwrasse

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen in a video of a specimen taken east of Nago Island, Kavieng District, at 2–9 m depth, St. KR28, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Red Sea, East Africa, Seychelles, Madagascar and Mascarenes east to Pitcairn, north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to Australia, New Caledonia, Lord Howe Island and Rapa. Found on sand-rubble bottoms near coral reefs, 1–30 m depth. Marine.
