Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11425 (1 specimen, 17.4 mm SL, St. KR 34, isolated bommie at entrance to Steffen Channel, Kavieng District, 02°43.745’S 150°37.144’E, 43 m depth, 12 June 2014), and NTUM 11447 (1 specimen, 8.2 mm SL, St. KR 38, east of Albatross Pass, Kavieng District, 02°45.236’S 150°43.360’E, 3–55 m depth, 8 June 2014) .

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Pitcairn Group, north to southern Japan, south to Lord Howe Island. 43 m depth. Marine.
