Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimens photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 23 Apr. 2010 and 11 Nov. 2012.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Christmas Island (eastern Indian Ocean) and Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, south to Queensland (Australia). Found among the bases of the arms of crinoids, in coral reefs, 10–20 m depth. Marine.
