Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen observed at Nausen Island, Kavieng District, 3–18 m depth, St. T 9, on 1 Nov. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Solomon Islands, south to northern Australia. Found associated with large fan sponges, 10–40 m depth. Marine.
