Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11423 (1 male, St. KR 16, west of Nago Island, Kavieng District, 02°36.111’S 150°45.933’E, 4–26 m depth, coral drop-off, 4 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: East Africa east to Tuamotu Archipelago, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to Queensland (Australia). Found on branches of Acropora or Pocillopora corals, 3–30 m depth. Marine.
