Status at New Ireland. New record, based on specimens photographed at Lissenung Island, Kavieng District, at 10 m depth, by Dean Tully on 16 Sept. 2012.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Amirantes (Seychelles) and Réunion east to Hawaiian Islands and Tonga, north to southern Japan, south to New Caledonia. Found on live hard corals, sometimes on the mantle of clams, and eggs are usually laid on ascidians, 1–50 m depth. Marine.
