Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11476 (1 specimen, St. KD1, between Cape Sueusat and Usien Island, Kavieng District, 02°37.459’S 150°46.461’E, 3 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Christmas Island (eastern Indian Ocean) east to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. Sand-rubble bottoms near reefs, 4–15 m depth. Marine.
