Antigonia rubescens (Günther 1860) —Indo-Pacific boarfish

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on 2 specimens collected at St. CP 4458-6-7 (westnorthwest of Kavieng).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Réunion (western Mascarenes) and India east to Hawaiian Ridge, north to southern Japan, south to Western Australia and New Caledonia. Benthopelagic, 50–750 m depth. Marine.
