Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4439-11, northeast of New Hanover; 2 specimens, St. CP 4446-2-3, north of New Hanover).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Philippines to Papua New Guinea. Found on sand bottom, 247–1000 m depth. Marine.
