Austroconophron Franz, 1971: 69 (as subgenus of Euconnus).

Type species: Euconnus tindoui Franz, 1971 (des. orig.). Synonymized with Sciacharis s. str. by Franz, 1986a; reinstated as subgenus of Euconnus by Jałoszyński & Newton, 2017.
