Salmacina cf. dysteri (Huxley, 1855)
Salmacina dysteri not (Huxley, 1855) sensu Tan and Morton 1998: 392.
Remarks. Not a new record, mentioned by Tan and Morton (1998) for Hong Kong. Originally described from boreal temperate waters (U.K., South Wales), Indo-West Pacific records most probably belong to different taxa (Ben-Eliahu & ten Hove 2011: 62–71). We have mentioned the record here re-named to S. cf. dysteri, to stress that Tan and Morton’s material may have been similar to the temperate species, but most probably is a different taxon. This emphasizes the need to deposit voucher specimens in museum collections to enable a later check of the identification.
