Diagnosis (male). Long thin setae at posterior face of foretibia and foretarsus, characteristic wing pattern, with a macula near apex of Rs, and another one square-shaped anterior to M1.
Material examined. Holotype ♂, COSTA RICA: Cartago: La Cangreja, 9.8ºN, 83.97ºW, vi–vii.1992, Malaise trap, 1950 m, P. Hanson col. (LACM). Paratypes: 1♂, San José: Zurquí de Moravia, 10.05ºN, 84.02ºW, v.1995, Malaise trap, 1600 m , P. Hanson col. (LACM); 1♂, same but vi.1995; 1♂, same but i.1996; 1♂, same but ix.1991; 1♂, same but v.1992.
Hypopygium description (Fig. 121). Hypopygium very similar to the one of C. bilineata, with some subtle differences: dorso-medial margin of the left epandrial process slightly irregular, left epandrial process with three subepandrial setulae.
Geographical distribution. Known from four mid elevation sites in Costa Rica.
