Specimens examined. Numerous ♂, ♀, Jazan, Um Al-Raq Island, 21.x.–25.xi.2015, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah (CERS; NMWC) .
Distribution. This is the first record from Saudi Arabia. This species was described from Cuba and is further recorded from the Afrotropical Region: Aldabra, Angola, Cape Verde Islands, Madagascar, Mozambique, Oman, Rodriguez, St. Helena, Seychelles, Tanzania, Tromelin 1sland, United Arab Emirates and Yemen; Palaearctic Region: Canary Islands, Palestine, widespread in the Neotropical Region, Pacific Islands, West Indies and Oriental Region (Sabrosky 1980; Nartshuk 1984; (Deeming 2011; Deeming & Al-Dhafer 2012).
