TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., Tatarsk. A.S.S. R. (=Kazansk. Obi.), Volga River .

DISTRIBUTION: Deciduous woodland from Asia Minor and N. and C. Iran to Tien Shan Mtns. (Sinkiang, China) and through the Caucasus to Moscow (U.S. S.R.), west to Carpathians, E. Alps, and Balkans; isolated populations in Calabria, and Israel.
