Type material. Syntypes, 1 ♂, 1 ♀. Tunisia, between La Galite Is. and Cape Serrat, 37°20’N, 6°50’30”E, 170 m, Campagne de la Melita, stn 582, 9 October 1892, MNHN-IU-2018-1416, Collection ‘ Chevreux’ .
Remarks. The two specimens reported by Chevreux (1895) are both in poor condition. Apart from a small drawing of the front of the male head with the antennae, the remaining details illustrated are from the 5 mm long female.
Distribution. Mediterranean, 170–4690 m.
