Specimens examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Asir, Maraba, Al-Hudaithy Fruit Farm, 1–17. vi. 2003, Malaise trap, H. A. Dawah (NMWC) .

Other Saudi Arabian records: Asir Region: Maraba: 60 km S of Abha (Dawah & Abdullah 2006)

Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2006). It was described from Seychelles (Mahé) and also recorded from the following areas: Afrotropical Region: Madagascar,

Seychelles and Sierra Leone; Palaearctic Region: Mallorca; Australasian Region: Australia (New South Wales) and New Guinea (Papua New Guinea); Polynesia (Society Islands) and Samoa. Oriental Region: India (Assam), Malaysia and Thailand. There are some specimens of this species in NMWC from the Cape Verde Islands, Jordan, Nigeria and the Seychelles.

Biology. Unknown. Mathis & Zatwarnicki (2003) reported that Z. invenatus was found in the same habitats as Z. fractivirgatus (Lamb) and collected by sweeping (a) emergent vegetation in freshwater habitats at lower elevations, (b) carefully through a small patch of water hyacinth ( Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms) and (c) through lawn grass in a seepage area.
