Type:— L 2628, no. det. 19696, holotype (herb. van Soest 33797)!, see also Kirschner & Štěpánek (2014: 175) .
Doll (1978: 641):—“Diese Art fanden wir mehrfach am Fusse des Musalla sowie bei der Malowitza-Hütte in Weiden, Wiesen und an Bächen“.
Herbarium voucher specimens:—There are three herbarium sheets determined as T. pseudofontanum by R. Doll. Sheet I: Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge, Musalla-Hütte. 12 Jul [19]76, R. Doll [as Taraxacum pseudofontanum] (JE, no. det. 19264); three plants in flower, two of them belonging to T. vile . Sheet II: Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge, Malowitza-Hütte. 16 Jul [19]76, R. Doll (JE, no. det. 19265), originally determined as T. pseudofontanum vel T. parsennense; three leaf rosettes, mostly with achenes. They belong to T. sect. Crocea. Sheet III: Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge, Musalla-Hütte. 12. 7. [19]76., R. Doll [as Taraxacum pseudofontanum] (JE, no. det. 19516). Sheet III contains a single plant with an empty scape and an envelope with achenes; the material is not in a condition to be evaluated.
Interpretation:—All the plants we were able to interpret belong to T. sect. Crocea; one of them can be assigned to T. vile, a species described below. None of the specimens is close to T. pseudofontanum of the Alps.
