Doll (1978: 642):—Listed from Bulgaria without locality specification.

Herbarium voucher specimen:— There is a single herbarium specimen from Bulgaria, labelled: Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge, Jastrebec, 2350 m, 13 Jul [19]76, R. Doll [as Taraxacum ochrospermum] (JE, no. det. 19065). The herbarium sheet contains four leaf rosettes (one sterile, one with flowers and achenes, the rest fruiting) .

Interpretation:—Plants reported from Bulgaria as T. ochrospermum are not conspecific with this Alpine species. They belong to the group of T. chrysocephalum (see below).
