Herbarium voucher specimens:—There is a single gathering, divided in two herbarium sheets, labelled: Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge, Musalla-Hütte, Weg. 12 Jul [19]76, R. Doll [as Taraxacum reophilum] (JE, no. det. 19051). The two sheets contain six partial leaf rosettes, with florets (pollen irregular) and achenes. The gathering is taxonomically homogeneous, in all likelihood.

Interpretation:—The Bulgarian plants substantially differ from the true T. reophilum . They belong to a taxon described as T. vile below.
