Colletes pesenkoi Kuhlmann & Proshchalykin sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Colletes pesenkoi belongs to the C. marginatus -group that in the males is characterized by the shape of S7. This species is unique in this species-group because the punctation of the metasomal terga is sparse (i = 1–2 d) (Fig. 7 b) while in all the other species of the group terga are densely punctate (i <d).
Description. Female. Unknown.
Male. Bl = 7.0 mm. Head. Head wider than long. Integument black except tips of mandible partly dark reddishbrown. Face densely covered with long, yellowish-brown, erect hairs. Malar area medially about 1/3 as long as width of mandible base, finely striate. Antenna black, ventrally dark brown. Mesosoma. Integument black. Mesoscutal disc between punctures smooth and shiny; disc densely punctate (i = 1.0–1.5d). Scutellum anteriorly with few punctures but with more dense punctation apically, surface smooth and shiny. Mesoscutum, scutellum, metanotum, mesepisternum and propodeum covered with long, yellowish-brown erect hairs (Fig. 7 a). Wings. Slightly yellowish-brown; wing venation brown. Legs. Integument black to dark reddish-brown. Vestiture yellowish-white. Metasoma. Integument black except depressed apical tergal margins reddish to yellowish translucent (Fig. 7 b). T1 and disc of T2 sparsely covered with long, erect yellowish-white hairs (Fig. 7 b); apical tergal hair bands broad (Fig. 7 a, b). Terga with scattered and relatively fine punctation (i = 1–2d), between punctures smooth and shiny (Fig. 7 b). Terminalia. Genitalia and S7 as illustrated (Figs. 7 c–d).
Type material (1 specimen). Holotype, male, Kyrgyzstan: Issyk-Kul Prov., 25 km SE Rybach'e [=Bylykchi], Terekei-Alatau Ridge [76°11'E 42°28'N], 2000 m, 9.VIII.1985, Yu. Pesenko (ZISP).
Etymology. This species is dedicated to the outstanding bee expert Dr. Yuri Andreevich Pesenko (18. October 1944 – 23. September 2007), a renown taxonomic expert of halictid bees (Astafurova et al. 2008).
General distribution. Only known from the type locality in Kyrgyzstan.
